Tools for Sellers

There are many downloadable and online programs which help you manage your listing and selling. They allow you to describe your item, add photos and fill in all the other little bits in a much more streamlined and quicker way than the ‘sell your item’ forms on eBay. They also allow you to save drafts so they can be finished and uploaded later.

Turbolister
is a downloadable program and is available through the eBay webpages. It is about 15MB and free. It makes filling out your listing easier, allows you to save drafts, organise your items into folders and copy listings to for similar items. This program is pretty good.

Auctiva. We stopped using Turbolister after finding Auctiva. Auctiva doesn’t require any downloading and is free. This is good because you can then use it from any computer.

The best part of using Auctiva is that it allows you to add things to your listing for free that usually cost more:
  • Lets you add as many photos as you like,
  • People can click on photos to supersize,
  • Has a range of background colours and templates,
  • Lets you schedule you listing for free,
  • Include a scrolling gallery in the item description that shows the other items you have listed,

All for no extra eBay fees!

It also allows you to:

  • Set up a template with all your postage and other common details so you never need to copy and past them again!
  • Organise your listings into folders.
  • Copy listings for similar items.
  • See a summary of your current listings, their visits, bids and watchers.

Auctiva is at http://www.auctiva.com/
